At the center of the program is the USS Seaview, a retro-futuristic submarine found entombed in the ice, marked with symbols from a history that shouldn’t exist, and it powers up only when Lee steps aboard.

Allen was behind the original 1961 feature film featuring Walter Pidgeon, Joan Fontaine, Barbara Even, Peter Lorre and Robert Sterling, which then led to the 1964-1968 TV series starring Richard Basehart and David Hedison.

Ridley, of course, is known for her roles in “Star Wars,” including “The Force Awakens,” “The Last Jedi” and “The Rise of Skywalker.” Her other credits include “Young Woman and the Sea,” “Magpie,” “Sometimes I Think About Dying,” “Cleaner” and “We Bury the Dead.” Next up, she’ll be seen in “Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol” and “The Last Resort.” Ridley is repped by CAA; Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern; and Narrative.
